Frequently asked questions
How is the quit index calculated?
It weights your answers to 5 questions — pay satisfaction, commute mood, communication with your boss, overtime and work-life balance, and how you feel on Sunday evening — into a 0–100% urge-to-quit index. No personal info required.
Should I quit right now?
Don't decide on feelings alone. Weigh 3–6 months of living costs, the hiring market, and whether there's still something to learn where you are. If your index is high, start preparing to move before you process the emotions.
Does a high index mean I have to switch jobs?
No. It may be a passing burnout, so force two weeks of real work-life balance and reassess. If the index holds, that is when to seriously consider moving on.
